The BMW Z4 E89 3.5i  QUAIFE differential will prevent loss of drive and traction that occurs with a standard BMW Z4 E89 3.5i  differential wheel slips. Whilst requiring some torque in the slipping wheel, the BMW Z4 E89 3.5i  limited-slip differential QUAIFE Diff unit is progressive in action but does not lock completely – controlled power is transmitted through the limited-slip BMW Z4 differential to all the driving wheels. Ideally suited to high powered front-wheel drive BMW’s,

QUAIFE BMW Z4 differentials are also used in rear and four-wheel drive BMW’s where optimum traction is required. Installation is identical to the normal BMW E89 3.5i  differential with bearing pre-loads and pinion mesh being restored to the original BMW Z4 E89 3.5i  differential manufacturers’ settings.

BMW Z4 and other BMW model differentials have a unique system of welding the crown wheel gear to the differential internal component, this is subject to additional installation procedures and costs.
