The highly experienced team at Paramount Performance worked tirelessly to develop and test the original ultimate tuning package for the Jaguar Land Rover AJ13 V8 engine and launched it to the world back in 2016. Land Rover Defender Performance Upgrades

At the heart of the Land Rover Defender Beast Halo Vehicle lies a meticulously refined performance upgrade, combining a proven upper pulley and crank pulley enhancement with a bespoke VIEZU performance remap. By reducing the size of the OEM upper pulley and fitting a larger, high-quality crank pulley from Paramount Performance, we dramatically increase the supercharger’s speed. This optimized airflow enables greater fuel delivery, unlocking significantly more power and performance—ensuring an exhilarating driving experience with every press of the pedal.

Supercharger Pulley Upgrades

By upgrading the supercharger’s upper pulley to a smaller diameter and the crank pulley to a larger diameter changes the gearing of the supercharger, increasing its rotational speed relative to the engine’s RPM. This modification forces the supercharger to compress more air into the engine’s cylinders per cycle, generating higher boost pressure and significantly enhancing performance.

A smaller supercharger pulley can increase the supercharger’s RPM by approximately 10%, resulting in noticeable power gains when paired with the correct ECU tuning. Similarly, installing a larger crank pulley achieves a comparable effect by driving the supercharger faster. These upgrades work by increasing airflow and boost levels, unlocking additional horsepower and torque for a more responsive and exhilarating driving experience. Paramount Performance have been carrying out these supercharger upgrades for many years, and have successfully found the optimum combination for performance and durability.

Cold Air Intake Land Rover Defender V8

Talking of increased air flow, the team at Paramount Performance have now developed a superb Cold air intake system for the V8 Land Rover Defender. This product has been specifically developed for the V8 powered Land Rover Defender, and is a key part of the Beast package. The intake feature two high quality synthetic nanofiber performance air filters and aluminium heatshields which ensures intake temperatures remain low, and power and performance remain optimal. Sadly, many lesser air intake systems on the market can degrade performance as a result of them being poorly designed, and providing the engine with less air, or warm air when compared to the original factory intake system.
