The protocols you assign to the Alientech Kess3 hardware device confirm if the tuning unit is a Master tool, or Slave tuning tool. in addition, it is also the Kess 3 protocols that determine which methods of remapping the tool has open to communicate with the vehicle. The Alientech Kess 3 is capable of tuning via both the OBD port, and also Bench / boot tuning to the ECU. Thus it is the protocols added that make either one or both options available. You can add activation protocols when you purchase your Kess 3 unit. And you can also of course add more  protocols anytime you need to. Just select the package you require from the Paramount shop.

Adding activation protocols to your Slave Kess3

All Kess3 remapping tools that have slave protocols on them, will need to be linked to a Master Kess3 operator. As we are sure you will know, it is the master that provides the remapping files and modified tuned software. Paramount offer a full master tuning file support service. Providing ready to use tuning and remapping files. As well training, set up and live support to tuners around the world who choose to operate a slave Kess3. The service is open from 7am, 7 days a week.

But, you do not have to use the Paramount remap support and tuning file service if you don’t want. You can still choose to buy your new Kess3 tuning tool in the Paramount shop ( or call, or e-mail your order through)  If you have an alternative master you would like to use for your files. Simply let us know when you make your purchase. And, we will arrange for your new Kess slave tool to be on their account.
