BC Racing BR Suspension Upgrade for the Honda Civic
Designed for Civic EK/EM/EJ9/MB6/MC2 1996-2000 Rear Fork, this BC Racing BR coilover kit gives the Honda Civic a lower, more controlled stance while retaining the usability required for regular road driving. Adjustable suspension allows the final setup to be refined around the driver’s preference, local roads and intended vehicle use.
BC Racing produces suspension systems for drivers who want more control than a conventional fixed-height spring and damper package can provide. Each kit is developed for its intended vehicle, with spring and damper settings selected to provide a practical balance between comfort, handling and usable suspension travel.
How Will the Ride Compare with Standard Suspension?
BC Racing’s recommended specifications generally use springs and damper settings that are firmer than the original suspension. This helps reduce body movement and supports the shorter suspension travel required for an adjustable lowered setup.
The ride will normally feel more controlled and responsive than the original suspension, particularly during braking, acceleration and cornering. The final ride quality will depend on the selected series, vehicle condition, wheel and tyre combination, ride height and damping settings.
Ready for Final Adjustment
BC Racing coilovers are generally supplied with spring preload already set and a sensible initial damping position. These settings provide a useful starting point, although final adjustments should be made once the suspension has been installed and checked.
Suspension for all four wheels are included, although original top mounts may need to be reused on certain applications. Professional fitting and a full alignment are recommended.
