BC Racing BR Series Coilovers for Jaguar XF X250
These BC Racing BR-RS coilovers are designed for the Jaguar XF X250 and provide adjustable ride height, spring preload and damping. They offer considerably more set-up flexibility than conventional Jaguar XF lowering springs, helping owners refine stance, body control and handling response.
Vehicle fitment: Jaguar XF X250. Two rear top-mount patterns are listed, covering 2009-2012 models with a 77 x 64.5 mm four-bolt PCD and 2013-2015 models with a 71 x 84 mm four-bolt PCD. Check the mounting pattern carefully before ordering.
About BC Racing
BC Racing develops adjustable coilover suspension systems for road and performance applications. Its BR Series is designed as an accessible entry into adjustable suspension while maintaining a useful balance of handling, comfort, build quality and value. Each vehicle application is tested and refined to provide a well-balanced starting set-up.
BR Series damper design
The BR Series uses a large 46 mm piston inside a 53 mm damper body. The larger body increases oil capacity, helping to reduce peak oil temperature as the dampers work. This supports more consistent damping characteristics during extended use. BC Racing also uses high-quality damper oil throughout the range.
Ride height adjustment is separate from spring preload, so the vehicle can be lowered without unnecessarily reducing the available damper stroke. The monotube design and 30-way damping adjustment allow the suspension response to be fine-tuned for different roads, tyres and driving preferences.
BR-RS configuration
The BR-RS configuration is supplied with aluminium front top mounts with rubber centres. Depending on the vehicle application, the rear may use aluminium top mounts with rubber centres or may be supplied without rear top mounts, requiring the appropriate original equipment components to be reused.

Frequently asked questions
Am I ordering a full kit?
Yes. BC Racing coilover kits are supplied as a complete vehicle set, with suspension units for all four corners. Some kits do not include top mounts, so the original equipment top mounts may need to be reused. On vehicles that retain original rear leaf springs, a spring-rate listing such as 6/X means a 6 kg/mm front spring rate with no replacement rear coil spring.
Can I change the spring rate after buying a kit?
As a general guide, the spring rate can usually be increased or decreased by up to 2 kg/mm without changing the damper valving. A larger change normally requires the dampers to be re-valved to suit the new springs.
How stiff is the ride compared with original suspension?
BC Racing’s recommended standard kits generally use springs around 15-20% stiffer and damper valving around 20-30% stiffer than the original suspension. The shorter suspension units provide the lowering capability and a broad adjustment range. The final ride will also depend on damping settings, ride height, tyres, wheel size and the condition of other suspension components.
Are anti-roll bar end links included?
Shorter end links are generally required when the anti-roll bar attaches to a mounting tab on the shock body and the coilover tab sits lower than the original position. BC Racing includes end links where the application requires them. Where they are not supplied, the original equipment end links can normally continue to be used.
Installation
Installation involves removing the original suspension, transferring any required original top mounts, fitting the coilover units and setting an initial ride height and damping position. All fixings must be tightened to the correct vehicle specifications, followed by a full suspension and wheel-alignment check. Suspension installation is safety-critical, so professional fitting is strongly recommended. Always seek help from a qualified technician if there is any doubt.
Ordering and fitment checks
Choose the vehicle fitment and coilover configuration listed for your application. Please check the year range, chassis code, top-mount arrangement and any fitment notes before ordering.
Check the preferred fitment options for your vehicle:
| Type | Primary Function | Typical Lowering/Lift | Spring Setup | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BR Series | Balanced performance coilover for road, fast-road and occasional track use | Adjustable ride height; exact range varies by vehicle application | Front: 10 kg/mm; Rear: 8 kg/mm | Drivers wanting a balance of comfort, handling and performance |
