The Jaguar XJ QUAIFE differential will prevent loss of drive and traction that occurs with a standard Jaguar XJ differential wheel slips. Whilst requiring some torque in the slipping wheel, the Jaguar XJ limited slip differential QUAIFE Diff unit is progressive in action but does not lock completely – controlled power is transmitted through the limited slip Jaguar XJ differential to all the driving wheels.

Installation is identical to the normal Jaguar XK differential with bearing pre-loads and pinion mesh being restored to the original Mini differential manufacturers’ settings.

Please note, this item and price is for an exchange unit, Paramount will require your old differential unit in exchange. If you would rather not exchange your diff unit, there will be an additional surcharged of £400. Either option is fine. Please let us know if you need any help or advice

Servicing of the Quaife Jaguar XJ differential unit is simple as all gear pinions are free fitting and normal final drive lubrication oils are retained.

How does the Jaguar limited slip diff work ?

As engine power outputs increase ever further, the ability to use the extra power and performance becomes even more important.

Wheel spin may look great but in reality is it a loss of traction and control, a waste time, uses fuel and tyres whilst going nowhere!  Whether driving on the road, track day circuit, rally stage or drag strip – you need a Quaife Jaguar XJ differential to give you control and usable power. As a direct replacement for the standard, factory ‘open’ Jaguar XJ differential, QUAIFE’s ATB Helical Jaguar XJ LSD unit can transform the performance of your Jaguar

Unlike a conventional plate-style Jaguar XK limited slip units, QUAIFE’s ATB Helical Jaguar XJ LSD unit relies on gears, rather than clutch plates for its operation.

That means it is much smoother in operation, because unlike a conventional plate-style Jaguar XJ LSD, it never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle. Rather, it automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constantly varying degree and never locks.

To the driver the results are significant performance improvements; – superior, controllable traction without the harsh steering wheel snatch or torque steer that have long been associated with performance differentials.
