Jaguar XF Cats – 5.0 Catalytic Converters (Pair). Standard Jaguar catalytic converters have 600 cells per square inch. So the original standard cats can be very restrictive in their gas flow and hold back Performance. Paramount Performance have developed exclusive 200 cell, high performance Jaguar XF Catalytic Converters.
These 200 cell Performance Jaguar racing cats are build into a large bore stainless steel downpipe. They reduce back pressure substantially and therefore allow increased exhaust gas flow rates. This is very effective on Jaguar engines with supercharger, especially if they are tuned for more performance.
When combined with other Paramount Performance Jaguar XF tuning parts these high performance Jaguar XF 5.0 Catalytic Converters can push the Jaguar 5.0 XF past 675bhp.

A wise man once said, buy on price, buy twice! in this case it can in fact be much worse. Recently we have see an influx of cheap 200 cell cats. Typically these are cut into the original downpipe, not fitted to a new large bore downpipe. These cats tend to be rated to around 140bhp per pipe, so 280 it total. These cheap substitutes will not last, and worse, can melt and block the exhaust system. In which case the result is nearly always total engine failure with no warning.
The Paramount Performance Jaguar XF Cats 5.0 Catalytic Converters Cats work exceptionally well on re-mapped (chip tuned) engines. Power increase 22-25 bhp in mid range. With a deeper, more meaningful exhaust tone too.

No other Jaguar aftermarket cat matrix we know if has been tested to be used in UK and Europe. If you are looking at other products, its worth asking if they carry and “E” certificate number – a legal requirement in the UK. They will also, as you would expect, pass a UK MOT emission test. And have been tested and proven to run over 675bhp.
