KW Electronic Damping Cancellation Kit for Jaguar F-Type Coupe (X152, QQ6) 09/2013

If you have replaced the factory electronically controlled suspension on your Jaguar F-Type and are now faced with suspension warnings or error messages on the dashboard, the KW Electronic Damping Cancellation Kit provides a purpose-designed solution.

Modern electronic dampers use electronically controlled valves to vary damping force according to the vehicle’s settings and driving conditions. When these original dampers are removed and replaced with conventional aftermarket suspension, the vehicle may detect that the factory dampers are no longer connected and trigger a suspension fault.

The KW cancellation kit connects to the original damper control system and simulates the electrical resistance expected from the factory dampers. This allows the standard electronic damper control function to be shut down correctly and prevents associated error messages. Other vehicle control and driving functions remain operational. KW confirms that its cancellation modules are designed so that systems associated with the vehicle’s driving modes and dynamics can continue to function once the original electronic damping has been removed.

Ideal for aftermarket suspension upgrades

Replacing the original electronically controlled suspension can open up a much wider choice of performance suspension, including coilovers and manually adjustable damper systems. Depending on the suspension fitted, this can offer greater control over ride height, damping characteristics, handling balance and suspension set-up, allowing the vehicle to be configured more closely around road use, fast-road driving or more performance-focused applications.

The KW cancellation kit can also be used separately with compatible suspension systems from other manufacturers or suitable OE aftermarket suspension.

Installation

Installation uses the vehicle’s existing electronic damper wiring together with the connectors and cancellation modules supplied by KW. At the front axle, the original connector wiring is transferred into the supplied connector and secured correctly. The original damper control connections are then plugged into the relevant electronic cancellation modules until fully locked in position.

Once connected, the cancellation modules should be securely attached to the vehicle chassis, frame or wiring harness using the supplied cable ties, keeping the components and wiring safely positioned and protected.

Professional installation is recommended, particularly where connector pins or the original vehicle wiring need to be transferred.
